Police arrest suspected Swedish Drug Dealer in Central Pattaya

Over the weekend, Police from the Region 2 Child and Women Protection Center, located at Banglamung Police Station, held a press conference to announce the arrest of a Swedish man and his Thai Girlfriend who were caught with a variety of illegal drugs and a firearm at their Central Pattaya Hotel. Officers were made aware of a group of foreigners who were thought to be selling drugs to tourists in the South Pattaya area and identified one man who was residing at the Four Seasons Hotel in room number 724 as one of the ring leaders of the drug distribution network.

Mr. Henrik Christian Koch aged 40 from Sweden was inside the room at the time of the raid, with his girlfriend, Khun Paweena aged 21.

Police found 10.5g split into 3 packets of Cocaine, 1.5g of Crystal Methamphetamine, 0.5g of Ketamine, 1 Yabba Tablet, 1 Ecstasy Tablet, a loaded revolver which appeared to have a partial registration number and 500,000 Baht in cash.

During the raid, the suspect is alleged to have offered the Police 1 Million Baht in cash to clear the case, however the offer was refused and the suspect was additionally charged with attempting to bribe a Police Officer along with other serious class 1 and class 2 drug charges. Further investigations are now taking place into Mr. Koch and his associates. Khun Paweena was charged with class 1 drug consumption only.
